Any new phone takes getting used to. I use my aps & web browser as much as my phone. Be patient & open minded & you will love it. It’s better than any I’ve ever had including the Blackberry!!! And as I’m sure everyone knows cut & paste is no longer an issue.

guys, guys, stop fighting like spoilt children. I just bought an iphone and a macbook pro. I love both. I have been using computers for the last 27 years and mobile for the last 10. Nothing to match these 2 pieces of art combined with science – intuitive interface, situational keyboard, feel & finish and most important – the peace of mind that none will crash exactly when i need these most – all these make these great. There are problems no doubt but I trust these will be sorted by software upgrade rather than having to buy a new phone.

Just saw this about the Iphone. I’ve had mine for 1 year and I renamed it the “Fphone”…when it grows up, if it ever does, maybe just maybe it will be an Iphone.

EditWeapon, just wanted to say you hit the nail on the head with this one. I stood in line for several hours but I’m going to return it for many of the same reasons you mentioned. (You can see specifics at my blog, http://www.beforeisleep.net )

I also came to the same main conclusion as you — that the iPhone is a wonderful handheld computer but a crappy email/PDA device. Likely solution? Stick with my Blackberry 8700 (at least until the Bold comes out), and pick up an iPod Touch…

My Iphone makes me feel like my mom. I am in agony every time she tries to find the “play” button on the VCR. I caught myself in the mirror the other day with my finger set to “push” but clueless as to what I was looking for. And if that screen goes black one more time when I am trying to figure it out….I AM GOING TO SCREAM!
