Sophie (from Networksolutions.com), thanks for dropping by to satisfy my curiosity. I'd love to see how the results stack up on how people self-rate themselves.

PS - Assuming you're the designer, you've got one helluva job ahead of you to simplify the information architecture, but considering your competition going SIMPLE has GOT to help your conversion rates, regardless of someone's self-selection.

Cheers!

Patrick
I am glad to hear that you believe this is an interesting technique - we thought so too before launching it. From a survey data standpoint this is a very insighful approach as it helps us customize the customer experience and offer visitors what is relevant to them. I do think though that the execution (bicycles) was really smart and got the point across in a great visual way. We are now analyzing the data for better understanding web site behaviors. If you are interested in hearing more feel free to contact me.
