I’m helping some friends shoot a documentary film about a mountain bike race that runs from Canada to Mexico across the Great Divide (http://www.tourdivide.org ). I’ve never been on a film crew, but this seemed like a great reason to unplug for a few weeks. Jealous, aren’t you?

Man… That sounds like heaven. Have a blast, be safe, and don’t feel too bad if I hate your guts for a few weeks. Remember on steep descents…Get that A55 BACK!

Jason, lest your comment mislead some, I won’t be riding in the race, I’ll be filming riders. And more accurately, getting sandwiches and chopping down trees for the film crew doing the actual filming. (I’m hoping to get “best boy” or “key grip” in the credits, but I have no idea what either of those do. Clearly, I’m very prepared.)
Yeah – I realized that I made a big assumption there. I assumed you were a real man and would be riding that steel horse carving up mountains like a crazy, pedaling demon. Jealousy has been replaced by disappointment and pity. ;^)
